This project is a series of three posters that explores the folk tales in the gulf region. You have been warned look into three creatures that hide behind a mask to lure their victims in.
Father Of The Sea | ابو درياه
He masks himself as a poor man who is drowning, when a diver comes to rescue him, the father of the sea pulls him in to the depth of the sea. This story was told to explain the disappearance of divers in the sea.
The Crib Fairy | جنية المنز
She hides under the deep blue sea, as soon as divers see her, they fall ill. This story was used to explain the diver’s sickness after their long voyage in pearl diving.
The Donkey Lady | أُم حمار
She hides behind her poor lady look and walk around the neighborhood in the afternoon, if she finds a kid loss, she eats him. They used this tale to scare the children from not going out on the afternoons to not get a heat stroke.
